美諺云「一張照片勝於千言萬語」。這些照片背後所隱藏的故事絕非三言兩語可以道盡。 每一次外出拍照的經驗，都是一回浴火鳳凰般的歷鍊。而我必須在這兒借用這一隅之地以表達方寸之心的衷誠感謝。首先我必須感謝在臺灣的多年好友譚郁元。這麼多年來眼見我起起伏伏，在生活與創作之間掙扎與煎熬，卻始終支持。當我文思滯澀時提供了的寶貴意見，並在生活與事業百忙中修改我在此登錄的三篇散文。感謝在美國東岸的黃宗瀚、漢克．林、黃小麗以及戎蕾、余民徫夫婦，在我蟄伏不起時收留了我，以至於我在傾家蕩產的邊緣得以安定，且更得以繼續創作。譚郁元及黃宗瀚都是我高中同學，感謝老天，當初考對了學校認識了他們。也感謝在上海的錢麗臻、戎珊明（已故）夫婦與戎雪明、雷有誼夫婦，在台北的陳冠成與楊雅君以及在北京的程鵬與史碧琳。感謝他們萍水相逢，卻敞開他們的家門，使得在外流浪的我得有棲身之處。感謝在美加州矽谷的周光華與侯建隆夫婦、Alan Penzotti。他們都各曾收留及忍受我長達四、五個月之久。也感謝同在矽谷的馬均均慷慨借助她的照相器材，使得 2006 年的這次旅程得以更加完美。

“A picture’s worth a thousand words”.  Stories behind these pictures couldn’t be put into words, at least I couldn’t.  The experience of every shooting trip helps me to grow, advance and go forward with my life.  I will have to thank many people, who have had helped me in one way or another, from the bottom of my heart.  First and foremost, my long term friend back in Taiwan, R.O.C., Rebecca Tan.  For all these years, it doesn’t matter if I stumbled or fell, she supported, consulted me and encouraging and spending time from her busy schedule on reviewing my articles posted on this site.  I also need to express my appreciation to Joseph Huang, Hank Lin, Sherry Huang, Lily Rong and Mike Yu at the east coast of US.  They took me in under their wings while I fell hard.  Without their help, I would probably end up broke and be on the street.  I know both Rebecca Tan and Joseph Huang since our high school time.  It’s my luck that I went to the right high school and got to know them.  I also need to thank K.C. Chen and Ya-chun Young in Taipei, Peng Cheng and his girlfriend in Beijing.  I thank them to open up their houses to take me in even we knew each other for only a few days.  Because of their kindness, I could have a shelter on top of my head while I was out there and conducting my photographic creation.  I also need to thank Alan Penzotti, Peter Hu and Daphne Chou.  They all took me into their houses and put up with me for 4 or 5 months long on different occasions when I couldn’t find a place to stay.  Last but not the least, Jiunjiun Ma lent me some of her precious camera equipment so it made this most recent 2006 trip perfect.  It was their kindness and generosity helped me going forward.   Thank you, my dear friends.
